Mary Ellen & David get married
They say that rain on your wedding day is good luck…. Well, they will have more luck than they know what to do with!!!! And they started using that luck right away, as they were able to enjoy a wonderfully sunny and beautiful end to their wedding day!! We did enjoy Mary Ellen’s carefree approach to the rain, as she jokingly welcomed people to her monsoon wedding.
They chose to celebrate their whole day at the Willow Valley Resort and Conference Center in Lancaster, PA. They started with a morning service at the chapel immediately behind the conference center. It was a beautiful service of celebration with one of the funniest pastors we’ve ever seen!
The torrential rains that started the day cleared out just in time for their guests to blow bubbles outside as they left!! What a blessing! All their guests headed across the road to the Palm Court inside the hotel while we got all the family photos done at the church. They joined their guests for the wonderful reception with kind speeches and some incredible swing dancing!
Mary Ellen and David finished off their day with us as we utilized some unique lighting inside the hotel and then the beautiful setting sun to capture some amazing portraits.
Thanks for having us share your day it was just lovely!
David works for Comcast and edits video to produce shows. He has won two Emmy Awards for his work. If we recall correctly, one of their first dates was to the Emmy Awards!! This was certainly a tough date to top!!

Time for the Farm
First Communion and family fun
Patrice and Patrick get married
After the service the wedding party piled onto a trolley to get to the Rittenhouse Hotel for the cocktail hour and reception. We eyed the sky and although it had called for some severe weather by this time of day, it was still dry in Philly so the call was made to head to Rittenhouse Square for the family formals, wedding party and time with Patrice and Patrick. Knowing that the weather could change any moment, and knowing how eager Patrice and Patrick were to join their friends and family at the cocktail hour, we moved quickly. All the while there were 3 men in the park heckling Patrice and Patrick during the photos that I don't think they'll ever forget that aspect of their day! Just as we got inside the Rittenhouse, it started to rain. We did a couple images utilizing the hotel that was full of great spaces and then the party started!
They had Chico's Vibe for the band and they did a fabulous job. At one point the horns were out on the dance floor and a limbo line was formed with them. There were great toasts and Patrice's father gave a lovely speech, lots of school anthems being sung, Irish music being played, and everyone packed the dance floor. What a great event!
Thank you Patrice and Patrick for inviting us to share in your day. We hope you have a wonderful honeymoon.

Cathy and John get married
Cathy got ready at her parent’s house in Chester Springs. We absolutely loved seeing where all the girls dresses were hanging, waiting to be put on – it provided us an opportunity to showcase the location, as well as the dresses, both at the same time!! We then headed over to St. Elizabeth’s Roman Catholic church in Eagle to spend some fun times with the guys. The church is so pretty and so full of light, what a nice place to have their wedding. After a few brief formal photos, we headed over to French Creek Golf Club - what a fabulous Pennsylvania setting this was with the rolling hills, yes we were excited by what we were seeing both indoors and out.
The reception started off with Cathy’s father giving an incredibly emotional speech – recognizing how important the people in his life are to him. There were tears in our eyes and a lump in our throat, by the end of it! The love and connection with their families was certainly evident by the way they interacted throughout the entire day! What fun for us to capture those emotional and connecting moments. After the tears, it was time to get busy on the dance floor and boy, did this group know how to dance. That floor was packed all night long!
Thanks for having us share in your special day.
John's twin sister and her husband are wedding photographers in the Annapolis area. It was fun capturing them being on the other side of the lens!
The next images depicts John and Cathy's relationship, fun-loving. Fortunately, Cathy's head did not land in the cake as it was done just for fun. I love the little flower girls look of concern though.
Katie and John get married
Our first wedding on Friday was with Katie and John – what a fun and relaxed couple! We met them through my fabulous hairdresser and eye brow waxer, so of course I'm going to give Christy and Sam from La Difference Salon and Spa a shout out from us as they did a beautiful job with Katie's hair and make-up, she just looked lovely. We had so much fun working with them and their families, it truly was a day filled with fun and laughter.
A funny moment for Neville was when the ring bearer asked if I was from the Harry Potter movie!! Neville has never seen the movies or read the books, but apparently there is a character with the same name. I think the boy was less impressed with me after I told him I was not from Harry Potter!
Katie and John’s wedding was held the Crowne Plaza Hotel in King of Prussia. This allowed us to capture getting ready shots of both the girls and the guys and to make quick, smooth transitions between each part of the day. Neville hung with the guys while Lori captured the girls getting ready and then had fun with each group doing their images. The service was lovely, performed by Katie's close family friend and then we got to play with Katie and John in the hallways of the Hotel. We just love finding interesting locations and they made it so easy for us - willing to sit on the floor and I think John eventually laid on the floor demonstrating what a good sport he is!
The reception was full of more fun, laughter, and dancing and you just walked away from the day smiling. Thanks for having us share the day with you - you two are great!
Katie and her sister had a plan that only sisters could make... if Katie started to get nervous before walking down the aisle, Katie's sister was to say something mean to her:
This just cracked me up, as Katie and John started to cut the cake, all the kids started crawling on the floor to catch a close up view:

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!
Lorraine & Alex get married
We met up with Lorraine and her girls at her parent's house in Drexel Hill. When we stepped outside to start our photos with Lorraine we were met by a US Postal Service delivery man who serenaded Lorraine from the middle of the sidewalk - another example of how our postal carriers go above and beyond!!! We got down to business and got some great stuff of the girls before heading a short distance over to St. Donato's Church in West Philadelphia. We met up with Alex and his men there and had a lot of fun with them using the old stonework of the church and the local streetscape! We have been having so much fun with the guys lately!
The service was absolutely beautiful as it contained some wonderful Philippino traditions, honoring Alex's cultural background. After the service, everyone headed up to the Norristown Farm Park for family photos and formals with the bridal party. We discovered this park just a week before the wedding - its quite the beautiful, peaceful place in the middle of the bustle of Rt.202 and Germantown Pike! We hope to be able to use this place again! By the time we got to do photos of Alex and Lorraine, the light was absolutely beautiful. After some fun using the barn and silos, we had to head off to The Presidential for the reception. Again, we were entertained by a Philippino Dance group who performed a number of traditional dances for all the guests. After this, the dance floor opened up and everyone had a blast. It was great to see how much fun and laughter everyone was having. It just felt like a joyous celebration of two wonderful lives coming together.
Alex and Lorraine - we hope you have a wonderful honeymoon and enjoy settling into married life!
