Let the contest begin! Please vote for your favorite image, representing a family having fun and being creative with the red couch. Voting is found on the right hand side. Please vote one time per person. Voting is open to everyone (even our blog stalkers!!) and will end at 11:00pm on May 24th. Have fun!

A little background information. We did 30 minute mini sessions with these families (with the exception of one preplanned 60 minute session and one spontaneous 60 minute session). The goal was to create imagery that was fun and interactive for these families as a fundraiser event for the PTO.

First Communion

We really have enjoyed the First Communion Portrait sessions we have done. Today was pure joy, it felt so quiet and peaceful while we were taking the images, being surrounded by nature certainly adds to that feeling. Thank you for the gift of today's session.

Senior Geology

I love what we do! I know I sound like a broken record, but I really, really do. Monday was no exception because we got to meet this wonderful senior. We had so much fun walking around with this aspiring geologist. She will be representing the region at the national science fair soon and now we can say we know her! How cool is that! Thanks for a lovely afternoon.

Kristen and Anthony get Married!

Wedding season, wedding season, I love wedding season! This week we celebrated with Kristen and Anthony and had a wonderful time with them and their family. We started off at Kristen's parents home in Springfield for the getting ready fun and then headed over to St. Kevin's to meet up with the guys. They were a blast and so easily amused us with their antics.

The service was lovely and it is always fun for me to catch the looks they give one another during the service. After doing the family formals (gold star goes to the family for efficiency!) we headed over to Longwood Gardens with the bridal party. After we were done with the bridal party they were sent back to their limo van where they had a little too much time to spare! We then got to spend some more time with Kristen and Anthony enjoying the afternoon light (and a swarm of bugs) as we wandered through the gardens. As you know, I'm easily amused, and I'm still laughing over a bystanders comment of "is this an advertisement or the real thing?" It was the real thing for sure!

Next stop was Mendenhall Inn for the fun filled reception which was not complete until the Mummers made a surprise appearance to the delight of the guests. What more can I say but fun, fun, fun!

Lexi and Jay engagement

Today we had a wonderful time heading into the city to meet up with Lexi and Jay for their engagement session. We found a beautiful and quiet spot at the Horticultural Gardens and we were thrilled to find a flowering tree, the lone one left in the park. We can't wait for their wedding in the fall - we are going to have so much fun with them. Remember Jay - you are not allowed to carry our bags on the wedding day (but we sure appreciate it today!) Thanks for such fun!

First week of PTO fundraiser completed

We couldn't have asked for more wonderful families to work with this week. We have met so many great people and have had so many laughs! We are a bit sore from lugging that couch around but it was well worth it. Thanks everyone for creating such lovely families to photograph.

PTO Fundraiser

Well, the first week of the PTO fundraiser is underway so we wanted to give you a sneak peek at what is in store for you! These brave families were the first to go so they get their images posted! We've already had so much fun and have really enjoyed watching these families interact. There are still spaces available for a 30 minute mini session this week. Joy and Vince get married

Hurray! It's that time of year again and Joy and Vince helped kick off our wedding season in a fabulous way. What a beautiful April spring day Joy and Vince had to get married on the NJ shore, we were all smiling ear to ear over the lovely weather. They got married at Bonnet Island Estate in Manahawkin - what a gorgeous setting they chose. They loved it because of the openness and light that was there, it had such a beautiful simplicity - we just loved it. The beach is an important place for them, so this became the perfect setting for their wedding day. They were so casual and fun to work with, and the connections with the family and friends were so evident. The wedding festivities started way before the wedding day as many of the guests joined them at the shore during the week leading up to the big day.

Joy and Vince saw each other before the service, (you know how we love that) so we got to have some fun with them right away. Their wedding party was made up of some fabulous children and Vince's brother, so it was great watching them play together. They had told us one of the things they love about each other is watching each other as parents. And it is so evident that they are wonderful parents to their 2 lovely daughters.

After some family shots, the day just flowed from ceremony to cocktails to the party. Because of the beautiful weather, the boathouse could be fully open during the ceremony and the sun just streamed in. They told us the reception would be quite the party and they weren't kidding! Too much fun!

Thanks for allowing us to be a part of your special day Joy & Vince! We truly had a blast with you.

e-mail issues

during this transition process with our website we seem to be having some glitches with our e-mail. If we don't respond within 24 hours of your message, we didn't receive it. Also, it appears that we are unable to receive contact forms from our wedding site at the present time. Please contact us directly 610-283-1706. We hope this is resolved very soon. UPDATE 4/27/08 we can now receive contact forms - hurray!

UPDATE 3:49 4/15/08

Whaaaaaa.... I just heard back from our website people and while the site is propagating, you may only see the old site, which is now the new portrait site. I'm going to get some wedding galleries back up until everything is in working order. Thanks to all that are letting me know... the happy dance will be postponed until further notice...

baby lovin'

I love what we do!! I feel so blessed by the work we do and the people we have met over the years. It is so wonderful staying in touch with our lovely couples over the years and watching them grow. We had the absolute pleasure of photographing this beautiful 12 day old on Saturday and seeing her parents again. We did their wedding in 2005, and it just brings tears to my eyes, watching them embrace parenthood. Thank you for the gift of staying connected with us.
