Tiffany & Doug Engagement

Our second session of the day took us up to Bryn Athyn to meet up with Doug and Tiffany. We loved the variety we had today, now we had flowers and beautiful stone work. What fun we had, Doug and Tiffany were up for anything and worked that camera! We just love capturing the variety of personalities our different couples have. We truly enjoy our time doing these sessions. Thanks Doug and Tiffany, your wedding in December won't come quick enough for us!

Michael & Lisa Engagement

On Saturday we had 2 engagement sessions. We first met up with Lisa and Michael at Main Street at Exton. Every time we would go there, we would say what a great spot to do a session. We'll, we finally asked someone, and Michael and Lisa said yes! The location was even better than we imagined with great light, great backgrounds, but most of all, a great couple. We could have spent hours there. Thanks Lisa and Michael for so much fun, for getting a little dirty, and willing to do whatever! We can't wait for your wedding in August!

4/21/07 Cathleen and James get married

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Cathleen and James on their wedding day. We couldn't have asked for a better day between the weather, the people, and the other vendors, it was all just wonderful. Everything was at The Desmond so we arrived there to start with the getting ready. What a lovely bride Cathleen was, full of life, smiles, and energy and this girl knows how to work the camera! After we spent time with the girls (including one of Cathleen's bridesmaids who was 39 weeks pregnant - gold star goes to you!) we found the boys in the bar and they were ready for some fun. They kept James laughing, and us too. We had to play with some shadow activity that we were seeing, but never have I seen grown men turn a shadow shot into playtime with shadow puppets (and it was obvious that this was not their first time doing it!)
The wedding was outdoors on our beautiful and sunny day - hurray! We were all watching the weather the week leading up to the big day and keeping our fingers crossed that the ceremony could take place outdoors.

The reception was a blast with great music keeping everyone on the dance floor. Thank you James and Cathleen for allowing us to be a part of your special day. We had a wonderful time and wish you continued joy, love, and happiness in your marriage. Have a wonderful honeymoon!

April 13 Therese and Jake get married

We celebrated the wedding of Therese and Jake on Friday. We started off at Therese's mother's house in Delaware for all the getting ready festivities. Therese looked so regal - absolutely beautiful - and we enjoyed the time we had doing some images of her using absolutely beautiful light that was coming in the window. Everyone was thrilled when the flowers arrived - hydrangeas - one of my favorites. Next we went to the church, Immaculate Heart of Mary, which is a very special place to Therese's family because her grandparents were on the building committee. We met up with the guys who were awesome and ready to have some fun with the photography. The service was lovely, with the beautiful stained glass as the back drop, and Therese's uncle married them. After doing family shots at the church, we headed to Wintethur to do some images of Therese and Jake before arriving at our final destination of Mendenhall Inn. What a great party they had there. I've never seen so many people surround the dance floor during the first dance, or actually on the dance floor the entire night. It was great energy and their DJ, Don Timlin, did a fantastic job. Thanks Therese and Jake for having us be a part of your day. May you have a wonderful marriage!

Appleford

This past summer we did the wedding photography for Andrea and Brad at Appleford in Villanova. They had everything there - getting ready, pictures, outdoor wedding service, and reception. We fell in love with the place and had an absolutely wonderful time doing photography there. Neville was asked to do some interior shots of the house so we thought we'd post some of those images and let you all know about this little gem!

April 7 senior sessions

We spent the afternoon on Saturday with 3 terrific teens. Sarah has been our long time babysitter so it was an absolute privilege to do some senior portraits for her and her friends. How quickly time has gone, I think we knew Sarah when she was as young as our eldest! We headed to St. Mary's in Elverson (Sarah's recommendation) and we loved it there. So many areas to work in and the girls braved the cold for us as well. We really enjoy working with a group of seniors together. It's fun for us to see the friendships and having that extra interaction is great. Thanks everyone for a great time. Don't forget to check out some additional images on the website under portrait moments - seniors.

We were delighted to take pictures this morning of Kelly and her two children. She wanted to do a surprise father's day gift for her husband and we were willing participants. We had so much fun with them, thanks Kelly! Check out portrait moments kids II on the website for more of our favorites from the session!

March 17, 2007 Jessica and Bill get married

What a wonderful day we had celebrating with Bill and Jessica and their families! We arrived at Aronimink Golf Club for the getting ready preparations. They had decided to do their pictures together ahead of time which we love being able to do. Jessica was so relaxed and willing to have some fun in her gown. We loved utilizing the beautiful setting at Aronimink, and we loved, even more, watching Bill and Jessica interact with one another. It was so special to us to be able to watch them together; the way they looked at each other and how they truly were enjoying the moments they were having with one another. The service was at St. David's Episcopal Church which was such a quaint setting. It felt so cozy there, especially being surrounded by a snowy ground. Back to Aronimink for the fun reception, great band, and great dancing. Congratulations Jessica and Bill! Thank you so much for having us share is such a special and memorable day. Can't wait to see you at your sister's wedding!

Senior Spring Special

Gabby's sweet sixteen

What fun we had spending an hour at Gabby's sweet sixteen party Friday night. The theme was underwater and everyone had to wear teal, black, or blue. It was fantastically decorated and about 50 of Gabby's friends came out to celebrate. We were preparing for our oldest daughter's 6th birthday party the following day, so this has given us a taste of things to come! Thanks for inviting us to capture the fun and energy - you have a great group of friends. Happy Birthday Gabby!

Album designs

We've been working on a number of album designs over the past month so we thought we would share some of what we have been working on. The first two pages are from Laura and Chris's wedding from December and the second two pages are from Karen and Scott's wedding from July . They chose their images and we had the fun of putting them together in their album.

January 6, 2007 Jaime and Jessie get married

We had the pleasure of celebrating with Jaime and Jessie as they got married. We headed down to Baltimore for the big event and actually made a nice get away weekend for us as well. The girls were well taken care of back home by Grammie and one of our fantastic babysitters. What a beautiful day they had - 70 degree weather at the beginning of January! I couldn't imagine that we would be comfortably taking pictures outside, but we did.
The day started off with the getting ready shots of Jaime and her friends at her mom's house in Pasadena, MD. Next, we traveled up to the Towson area of MD for the service at Central Presbyterian where Lori's good college friend, Bill Pitts, officiated the wedding. Nicely done Bill! Final stop was back into downtown Baltimore to the Baltimore Museum of Industry. We have been so eager for this wedding because of the unique location Jessie and Jaime chose. What a fun place to do more pictures, we could have spent hours, but alas, a fun reception was waiting.

Angie, on staff at the museum hooked us up and let us into rooms we were really looking forward to using. This shot is of the invitation Jessie hand made and is taken in the print shop.

Everyone had a fantastic time, such kind words were spoken about Jaime and Jessie and Jessie's younger brother did a terrific job with the speech. At the end of the night, Jessie and Jaime changed into their going away outfits. Once they changed, they ran back onto their dance floor to the tail end of "Shout" and it was such a great way to enter the room with all that energy - I loved it. After their last dance it was time for goodbyes. We were packing up the van with our gear and noticed a very nicely decorated car, so we had to stay and see them take off in it.
Thanks Jessie and Jaime for inviting us to share in your day. We hope you had a wonderful honeymoon and can't wait to hear where the surprise destination ended up being.
