We had a wonderful time photographing this fun family. Once again, we got to do our thing and play. I love capturing the true essence of people and the way they interact with others - pure joy for us!

Full of Smiles
Today we had the absolute pleasure of going downtown to photograph this adorable 6 month little boy. He was so full of smiles, as long as we were silly enough for him! I just adore this age, not quite mobile, but trying really hard. Thank you for inviting us over to play, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! If we didn't have our own children to get home to, we would have stayed all day!

Beth and Kris get married!
This past weekend we had the pleasure to work with Beth and Kris and celebrate their marriage with them. They were a perfectly matched couple for each other….. even their pastor confirmed this through their marriage preparation classes!! It was truly a November fall day, weather wise, but that didn’t deter us from getting some outdoor shots of the girls and guys before the service.
We started at Beth’s parent’s house having fun with the girls as they all got ready. Dad was even called upon to pull out his pair of pliers – all dressed in his tuxedo – to help repair one of the girl’s shoes!!
We then headed over to Advent Lutheran Church in West Chester for a beautiful service and then family formals. The reception was held at the Sheraton Great Valley Hotel in Frazer. When we arrived, we were able to spend some time with Beth and Kris alone to capture some great moments. Then it was off to the party where some great dancing moves were displayed by Beth’s brother and many others!!
It was great to celebrate with Beth and Kris – we hope they have a wonderful honeymoon and beautiful marriage.

Singing in the Rain take Two
You may recall when we posted about this little cutie pie back in June. We'll she just became a big sister so we were invited to come and play again and meet the newest addition of this lovely little family. We always enjoy our time with this family so much, thank you for always being full of sunshine!
I love this next image, not because the baby is crying, but because big sister is there trying to comfort her, you know these two are going to be good friends by this image!

Trash the Dress Stringer Style
There has been a lot of talk lately about trashing the dress. We just love this concept and there are some fabulous artists out there capturing wonderful images. So what does trash the dress mean to us? To us it is an extension of the wedding day images, a time after the wedding to get back in your gown and continue enjoying the process of photography without worrying about what may happen with the dress. For this session, it meant that traipsing through a horse field, riding a horse, sitting on a barn floor, laying in hay, is all ok and is done for the pure enjoyment of the moment and the excitement of capturing images that are a little more unique. We had a blast and love the artistic freedom of this type of session.
Sarah and Johnny were our willing participants and we went to the barn that Sarah has worked at for years. (Sarah & Johnny was a couple of ours who got married on September 1st of this year). While she was a natural around the horses, some of us took some time to warm up to them.... see next posting for the continued story! But first, a big thank you to Sarah and Johnny for letting us do our thing again!

When horses are curious...
Ok, so as I was describing in the post above, we did a "trash the dress" session or "post wedding" session with Sarah and Johnny at Sarah's farm (Turnabout Farm in West Fallowfield). We've been talking about this concept for months and we were so excited when we could work out a time to do this. With all my excitement, I forgot one thing.... I'm nervous around animals, don't ask me why, I just am. So it never dawned on me that this would be an issue for me taking images near a horse. First of all, I had in my mind one horse and Sarah would be holding on to it. What I didn't realize is that we would be going out in to an open field with free ranging horses. Another thing I didn't know, is that horses are (as Sarah and Jen, the owner of the barn informed me later) are very CURIOUS! Translation: every horse in that field needed to come over and find out why Sarah was dressed up, why Bonnie (the main horse) was getting all the attention, what did a veil taste like and what does camera equipment taste like. Needless to say, I was completely out of my element and very happy when we moved into the shelter of the barn to play up in the rafters!

The Other Stringers
Yes there are other Stringer families out there, this one just happens to be Neville's brother and his family. Yes, it's true, if you saw these two brothers on the street, you wouldn't know they were related, but they really are! Anyhow, it was such a joy to have them travel all the way from western Canada to spend the weekend with us.
They really wanted a different and non-traditional family portrait with an urban spin and we jumped at the opportunity. It is so freeing for us to be given full creative freedom to do our thing - thanks gang! We headed to the streets of Coatesville and hit some favorite spots to capture them. The first one is my absolute favorite from the session.
Graham loves photoshop and he has taught me a few tricks or two. We worked on this one together in post production. Once again, I learned something new with him - thanks Graham!
I love it when kids are kids and act as kids should act, totally unprompted...
