Laura & Todd are married!

This weekend we traveled north to the Poconos to celebrate the wedding of Laura and Todd. We drove up on Friday night to be prepared for our early start on Saturday. We had only talked to Laura and Todd by phone and never met in person, but we all connected so easily and quickly. We actually felt very honored that they found and chose us as their wedding photographers as they are both in the creative arts as artists, illustrators, graphic designers, and photographers. It is such a privilege when another artist sees the art in our work. You have to check out their work on their websites, it is just wonderful (Laura, Todd).

We were at the lovely Syktop Lodge which was an absolutely beautiful setting. They chose it because they wanted something with character and had a rustic feel. They loved the stonework and the gardens and they wanted to get married outside, a perfect location.

There was an overall vintage/Victorian feel to the wedding starting with Laura's most beautiful gown and bouquet and we really wanted to incorporate that feel into the photography. The band they chose added to the old feel ambiance and you just felt that these two were old souls. Todd has the most gentle spirit about him and it was just delightful watching the two interact. They had shared with us that they have a lot of unspoken communication and just enjoy being with one another. That was so evident.

We truly had a wonderful time. Thank you for sharing this day with us. We wish you a wonderful life together, full of lots of reading to one another.

Despite clouds and the look of rain, the sun came out and provided some lovely lighting:

They designed all their printed material:

As we were taking their imagery, I knew I would be processing them a little differently because I really wanted the end result to have a vintage look to them:
