This past weekend we had the pleasure of working with Lorraine and Alex. It was one of the warmest October Saturdays we've had for many years - certainly unexpected. We made use of the nice weather, however, and got lots of wonderful photos outside.
We met up with Lorraine and her girls at her parent's house in Drexel Hill. When we stepped outside to start our photos with Lorraine we were met by a US Postal Service delivery man who serenaded Lorraine from the middle of the sidewalk - another example of how our postal carriers go above and beyond!!! We got down to business and got some great stuff of the girls before heading a short distance over to St. Donato's Church in West Philadelphia. We met up with Alex and his men there and had a lot of fun with them using the old stonework of the church and the local streetscape! We have been having so much fun with the guys lately!
The service was absolutely beautiful as it contained some wonderful Philippino traditions, honoring Alex's cultural background. After the service, everyone headed up to the Norristown Farm Park for family photos and formals with the bridal party. We discovered this park just a week before the wedding - its quite the beautiful, peaceful place in the middle of the bustle of Rt.202 and Germantown Pike! We hope to be able to use this place again! By the time we got to do photos of Alex and Lorraine, the light was absolutely beautiful. After some fun using the barn and silos, we had to head off to The Presidential for the reception. Again, we were entertained by a Philippino Dance group who performed a number of traditional dances for all the guests. After this, the dance floor opened up and everyone had a blast. It was great to see how much fun and laughter everyone was having. It just felt like a joyous celebration of two wonderful lives coming together.
Alex and Lorraine - we hope you have a wonderful honeymoon and enjoy settling into married life!
As always - please visit the "Recent Moments" Gallery on our website for more of our favorites.
