November 25, 2006 Nora & Mike get married
What a beautiful day Mike and Nora had to celebrate their marriage. Who would have guessed that we would be able to take pictures comfortably outside the end of November!? After doing their engagement session a few months ago, we were eager to play with Mike and Nora again. What an elegant bride Nora was and Mike was looking pretty dashing! They were surrounded by a great group of friends and family. We started out at Nora's parent's house for the getting ready preparations. Next was Saint Simon and Jude Church in West Chester. Their new building is beautiful with tons of light streaming in. After a lovely service, we headed down to the Hotel Dupont for some fun. A great place to work at. The night was complete with entertainment by Jelly Roll who did an awesome job - they kept the place hopping all night long (an my foot tapping). Thanks Nora and Mike for a wonderful day - we hope it really was a "Mike and Nora fun day" for you. Have a great honeymoon and we look forward to seeing you when you get back.
As always, there are a ton more images in the recent moments gallery.

November 19, 2006 Family Portrait
This weekend we had the pleasure of photographing Sylvia, Stephan and their three boys. They are our fantastic neighbors and fellow Canadians (we knew we would like them as soon as we found out they are originally from Canada like Neville). Boys are fun! We really enjoyed ourselves and capturing the kids as they are - making our job very easy. Never mind saying "cheese", the boys decided saying "no underwear!" was much more fun and entertaining and we certainly thought so too. Thanks neighbors for a delightful time and a glimpse into your life.

Bridge of Hope
This week we were asked to do some photography work for Bridge of Hope that they could use for some of their publications. We met four wonderful women and their families and had a delightful time working with them. Thank you for the fun, you were all great!

Grampa turns 90!
I don't typically post pictures of my family, but I just had to honor my Grampa. He turned 90 and the family celebrated his birthday this weekend. We had family come down from New Hampshire to celebrate with him. My grandfather is one of those people you can't help but look up to. He is filled with so much knowledge and you always feel there is nothing he can't do. He has constructed buildings, built a lobster boat, is a master at knots, knits, started quilting when he was in his 70's, cooks, dug wells after determining where the water would be - I think a method called dowsing, carved, and that is just the tip of the iceberg! He moved to our area a year ago from Maine, after my Grammie passed away. We feel so blessed that he is so close to us now and the girls get to know their Great Grandfather and the amazing person he is. Happy Birthday Grampa!
November 5, 2006 Christine & Kevin engagement
We got to go to downtown Philly again for the engagement session of Christine and Kevin. I know I've said it before, but I've got to say again, we just love going down there. Were else can you get such variety in such a small distance. I get so over stimulated as I'm constantly looking around for textures, settings, lighting, and everything I see looks great. Christine wore these great boots which I loved! And her friend Shaina joined in so it was so nice having her there as well (she'll be her maid of honor). I was excited because I've been wanting to do pictures in and on the subway so I was so happy that Christine and Kevin were willing participants. After we clicked a few, we were told that photography is no longer allowed in the subways because of 9/11 Rats! Those of you who know me, know I don't do well breaking the rules, so I was glad we got a couple before we were stopped. We had a blast with you three! Thanks for a great time, and Kevin for being a fantastic jumper! We can't wait until your August wedding!
This last one cracks me up. We were all on separate corners of the street. Christine and Kevin on one, Neville and Shaina on another, and I'm on a third corner. I glance over to see if Neville is done and there is someone else taking a picture of Kevin and Christine too. I had to get that shot.

October 28, 2006 Jaime and George get married
We weren’t sure if the rains would clear – but they did, just in time! We met up with Jamie and then George at St. Benedicts church in Mohnton, PA – a beautiful church with lots of wonderful light. After the service we had some fun with Jamie and George finding creative places in the church. Taking photos in the confessional area was certainly a first for us (I'm not sure we should admit to doing this!) A trolley ride into Reading took everyone to the Sheraton Hotel where Jamie and George didn’t question us once about some of the places and positions we asked them to get into! We found some fun locations using the patterns of the carpet, really neat lighting, and an elevator. Jaime gets the prize this week for willingness to lay down on the carpet - I'm not sure how she got down there but she did it! The party was certainly a blast – especially once the $1 shot dance wrapped up!! (that was another first for us)! Now, how about those pretty little flower girls?!! We have to add this biased comment as they belong to good friends of ours. Its always great when you know a couple of people at the wedding day. Congratulations Jamie and George, thanks for all the fun – we wish you all the best!
These cakes were amazing, we have never seen anything quite like it!
